Phil Ellis is an award-winning comedian who became an instant fan favourite during his appearance on Taskmaster. Known for his brilliantly off-beat observational material, physical comedy and unpredictable live energy, Phil has built a reputation as one of the most original and exciting performers on the UK comedy circuit.

Phil won the Edinburgh Comedy Award Panel Prize in 2014 for his anarchic hit show Funz and Gamez, which went on to be broadcast as part of BBC Radio 4’s Fresh from the Fest and BBC Three’s Comedy Feeds. He also starred in and co-wrote three series of his own BBC Radio 4 sitcom Phil Ellis is Trying, alongside a cast including Johnny Vegas, Lolly Adefope, Amy Gledhill, Alexei Sayle, Sindhu Vee, Jack Dee, Lee Mack, Mark Lamarr and Sean Lock.

With further acclaim for his Edinburgh shows and five-star praise from The Scotsman and The Mirror, Phil’s comedy is packed with silliness, sharp gags, physical comedy and brilliantly chaotic audience moments.
