  3. Clennon Lakes, Paignton, Devon
Clennon Lakes is a nature reserve consisting of manmade lakes created by the council in the 1980s. They are the most important wetland site on the English Riviera and home to many species found nowhere else in the Bay. On the lakes, you will find an array of birds including swans, ducks, moorhens, kingfishers, and herons. If you are taking your dog here, the rangers ask that you are respectful and ensure the dog does not disturb the local wildlife who call this home. The walks through Clennon Lakes include pathways and are mostly flat. During winter, it is prone to flooding so wellies are recommended!
