Reach Outdoors
The multi award winning Reach Outdoors Adventure Centre based at the Seashore Centre at Goodrington in Paignton offers single and tandem kayaks for hire. You can also try their Torbay Kayak Tours using sit-on-top kayaks, which are stable and user friendly. There are short 1.5 hour tours, half day and full day tours and a picnic lunch can be provided. They also offer wild camp kayak expeditions where you will explore sea caves around Berry Head and Sharkham Point, catch and cook your supper and sleep on a remote beach. Private tours require a minimum of 6 participants. Protective clothing and safety equipment is provided.

IBEX Canoe Club, Brixham
IBEX Canoe Club Brixham is a non-profit-making, local, sea kayaking club with fully qualified coaches. They are affiliated to Canoe England. They offer 2-hour instructor-led trips for visitors around the harbour and the Bay depending on experience. They provide boats, paddles, helmets and buoyancy aids plus spray hoods (if qualified to use them). There are also special youth sessions every Saturday from May – September for 11-18 year olds.
Dartmouth Yacht Club Canoe Section
Located on the beautiful River Dart, Dartmouth Yacht Club’s Canoe section offers guided paddles and taster sessions in sit-on-top kayaks for visitors of all ages and experience. Visiting Dartmouth makes a lovely day out from Devon’s English Riviera and you can get there by car, bus or steam train (check return times).
