About

Did you know, during the Second World Way, Greenway became home to evacuees and was later requisitioned by the US Coast Guard?

There are a few reminders left behind at Greenway, so we invite you to join us to commemorate Greenway's connection to this key historic moment of the Second World War.

Discover the frieze mural in the library, painted by a US Coast Guard, take a peek in the air raid shelter and discover what life was like with a military re-enactment display of vintage vehicles and trench tents outside the house. There'll even be replica models of the boats used in the D-Day landings.

This event is free. Normal admissions to Greenway apply.

If coming by car, you'll need to book your parking space in advance via the website.
