SUP World Cup 2026

For the first time ever, the English Riviera is delighted to announce that the SUP World Cup will be taking place in Torquay from 24–28 June 2026. The SUP World Cup is a key event on the international stand-up paddleboarding calendar, attracting athletes and visitors to the sheltered bays of Torquay, Paignton and Brixham during this five-day celebration of stand-up-paddleboarding. This event signifies that the English Riviera really is the stand-up-paddleboarding captial of the UK.

Set on calm water, the event offers a welcoming environment for both experienced paddlers and those new to the sport. Spectators can enjoy a full programme of races, demonstrations, and coastal activities, with opportunities to learn more about paddleboarding.

About the English Riviera SUP World Cup 2026

For the first time ever, the International Canoe Federation will host a SUP World Cup of this scale in the UK. It’s also the first since Paddle UK became the official governing body for stand-up paddling in 2023. The result is a unique opportunity for the UK to welcome the global SUP community, showcase world-class racing, and invite more people onto the water.

• Wednesday 24th June: Athlete Registration & Course open for practice
• Thursday 25th June: Opening Ceremony local/ regional schools- Junior races/activities in and out of the water
• Friday 26th June: ICF SPRINT Races, SUPER Festival village opens.
• Saturday 27th June: ICF TECHNICAL Races, SUPER Festival races, activities & Polo. SUPER Festival village open.
• Sunday 28th June: SUP1000 World Record attempt, ICF and Festival Distance Races, SUPER Festival activities, SUPER Festival village open. Closing Celebrations

What to Expect at the English Riviera SUP World Cup 2026

Across the festival, you’ll see around 200 of the world’s top athletes competing in thrilling races, but that’s only part of the story. The programme is designed to be inclusive, offering plenty of opportunities for paddlers of all levels to get involved. From challenging yourself in a race to joining a relaxed community paddle, there’s something for everyone on the water.

Off the water, the festival atmosphere continues. Expect taster sessions, workshops, live demonstrations, and hands-on activities for those keen to try SUP or broaden their skills. Pop-up retail, evening entertainment, and social gatherings will keep the energy flowing throughout the week, making the event as much about community and connection as it is about competition.

With over 22 miles of amazing coastline and some of the best weather in the UK, the English Riviera is a great place to get out and enjoy the water.
