TORQUAY GOLF CLUB
Visitors will receive a warm welcome at our beautiful 18-hole parkland course, located just three miles from the centre of Torquay, with views overlooking Lyme Bay to the east and Dartmoor to the west. The Club was founded in 1909 and has a rich history. Nick Faldo received his first winner’s cheque here as a young professional.
In addition to the course, the Club has practice facilities which are available to visitors prior to playing: two outside nets, a medium range, chipping and putting areas. Golf clubs, buggies and electric trolleys can be hired from the Pro’s shop (www.danhendriksengolf.co.uk) where golf lessons may also be booked.
The Clubhouse bar and restaurant overlook the 1st and 18th holes. Catering is available all day and on fine evenings you can enjoy drinks and meals on the terrace.
We are a thriving and traditional members club situated just three miles from Torquay’s centre with its stunning marina and harbour, and a short distance from picturesque St. Marychurch and Babbacombe.
Founded in 1909, the course has steadily evolved to present a first class parkland layout that offers a challenging yet rewarding test of golf in beautiful natural surroundings. Extensive views from the course encompass Lyme Bay in the east across the water to as far afield as Portland Bill, and to the rugged tors of Dartmoor to the west. Our tree lined fairways and high quality greens present an interesting challenge on each hole. We offer a warm welcome to visitors and societies looking to test your skills; Torquay golf course provides a true test of golf for players of all abilities. Visitor green fees are available throughout the week and weekend.
To match the course, our comfortable and friendly clubhouse offers excellent catering and bar facilities where you can have a relaxing meal and a drink on the terrace overlooking the 1st and 18th fairways. We hope you enjoy your visit!

From Torquay Harbourside turn left at the clocktower up Babbacombe Road to St. Marychurch. Follow the road round until you come to a mini roundabout – Torquay Golf Club is on the right. The main carpark is in front of the Clubhouse; carpark 2 is by the roundabout but requires an entry code (which the Pro’s shop staff can give you). There is also a public carpark nearby, adjacent to the Model Village.
From Torquay Harbourside, outside the shops, the most direct bus is No. 22 to St. Marychurch and then just a short walk round to the golf course.
