THE RESTAURANT - A TASTE OF THE SOUTH HAMS ON A PLATE

The Churston Breakfast – a taste of the South Hams on a plate (click here for the menu) – has become so popular with tourists and locals alike that you may well need to book to get in, and the same goes for our immensely popular Sunday lunches.

We’re a child-friendly restaurant (half-portions for kids, a nappy-changing area and an all-weather play area outside) serving exactly the same quality of award-winning produce you’ll find in our shop, all cooked on site.

We’re open right through the day – and there’s plenty of car parking. You can even get your car washed and valeted while you eat.

THE SHOP

Fifty- five per cent of everything we sell is sourced from within the South Hams, that segment of South Devon which boasts some of the most productive and fertile farmland in the UK. We sell our own 28-day lamb and 28-day hung Aberdeen Angus beef -  among the tastiest grass-fed meat you’ll find anywhere.

But that’s not all. We also take that meat and turn it into a huge range of speciality foods from pasties to pastrami while our on-site chefs prepare a complete menu of ready meals for sale either fresh or frozen. So if you don’t want to cook yourself, you can buy everything already cooked for you. And if you can’t find what you are looking for then tell us: were always happy to prepare special orders.

We also carry a huge range of the other speciality products which have won the West Country its reputation as Britain’s foremost food and drink region – most of which you simply won’t find in a supermarket. And we offer what we believe is a truly enjoyable shopping experience, with old-fashioned, personal service.
