About
Welcome to the Crown and Sceptre Pub in St Marychurch.
There aren't too many places like this left any more, a real pub with a great selection of beers accompanied by the landlords excellent knowledge of the brews. The pub offers a unique quirky interior decor with many things hanging from the ceiling and with a log fire for those winter nights.
The Crown and Sceptre is well known for it's live Jazz sessions, quiz nights and events during the year.
Tuesday is Jazz night starting at 8.30 pm
Every other Wednesday night is music night by professional musicians.
Thursday night is quiz night starting at 8.30 pm
Friday night is traditional folk music starting at 8.30 pm
Saturday night is band night, check facebook page for more information.
There is a function room above the Crown and Sceptre Pub in St Marychurch catering for roots music and other events. It is also available to hire.
We have a lovely beer garden at the rear of the pub for those warm evenings and just to sit and relax.
Children and dogs are welcome.
We also do home cooked lunches and cater for Vegetarians. These are available 12.30 - 2pm Wednesday - Saturday and traditional Sunday roast from 1 pm - 3.30 pm.
Customer Reviews:
A great old fashioned pub where every one talks and laughs together.
Have been going to this pub now for over 15 years, whenever I get to Torbay. Now run by the original landord's son, it is without doubt, the best pub in Torbay !
Always great value, and the landlord is so friendly.
To describe it as "characterful" is to grossly understate the facts. If you have never been, it is an absolute must.
Babbacombe Bay is just around the corner from us and it is a superb spot all year round with a choice of hotels, inns, bed & breakfasts, self-catering apartments and Devon cottages,It’s the perfect spot for couples looking for a romantic break, families looking for plenty of fun or dog-lovers wanting to get away with their very best-friends.
There’s plenty happening all year round. Enjoy browsing the independent shops and boutiques of Babbacombe and St Marychurch.
