About
Everything we serve, we also sell.
Open since Easter 2011 and named after Caroline herself, our café was built on one simple idea: cook the same award-winning produce that’s on the shop shelves, and cook it properly, on site.
Caroline’s Kitchen serving times vary seasonally. Please call before travelling for this week’s food service — we’ll happily tell you what’s cooking.
The famous one
The Churston Breakfast
A taste of the South Hams on a plate — so popular with tourists and locals alike that booking has often been essential, and the same has gone for our immensely popular Sunday lunches.
Most of what comes into the kitchen comes from the shop itself, so our chefs are handed the finest raw ingredients before they so much as light the gas.
Through the day
Morning coffee, lunches and cream teas
Because we believe in seasonal as well as local food, Caroline’s Kitchen has always offered an ever-changing choice of lunchtime specials through the year — with proper Devon cream teas and homemade cakes in between.
Child-friendly, with a sunny sheltered outdoor eating area in fine weather and plenty of free parking outside.
