THIS EVENT IS PART OF THE ENGLISH RIVIERA WALKING FESTIVAL
Torquay, aka ‘The Queen of the English Riviera’, is a town that holds so many fascinating secrets!
Our route follows the inner harbour, telling the history of Torquay’s colourful residents and extraordinary events over the past 200 years. We visit Agatha Christie’s secret beach, then head towards the Princess Pier (where Agatha would roller skate), onto Abbey Sands and Torre Abbey (Torquay’s oldest building) before returning to the starting point via our War Memorial.

- See the house where the leader of the Great Train Robbery was arrested
- Pass by the largest private residence in Torquay
- Discover how the Eurovision Song contest was created in Torquay!
- Stand by the slipways where the American soldiers departed on 5th June for the beaches of Normandy
