Upcoming performances at the Princess Theatre, Torquay this year will include the psychological thriller – Sleuth in February, Willy Russell’s Blood Brothers makes a return to Torquay in March along with fantastic one night touring productions.
This summer, the venue welcomes some of the hottest shows touring the UK. In July, An Officer and a Gentleman and Jesus Christ Superstar hit the stage. August brings Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Sister Act to Torquay.
The Princess Theatre, Torquay is looking forward to welcoming audiences from all over the region to this fantastic season of entertainment.
PRINCESS THEATRE HISTORY
The Princess Theatre, Torquay has a long history of hosting comedic talent, dating back to its opening in the 1960s, when the legendary Morcombe and Wise and Tommy Cooper graced the stage. Since then, we have had the pleasure of hosting Rob Brydon, Lee Mack, David Mitchell, Jon Richardson, Al Murray, Harry Hill and Dawn French to name a few. This upcoming season continues that tradition and solidifies the Princess Theatre as one of the premier destinations for live entertainment in the area. The ability to attract such an impressive line-up of touring productions demonstrates the venue's commitment to providing top-notch performances for the local community.
PRINCESS THEATRE SEATING & TICKETS
The Princess Theatre is South Devon’s largest theatre with a seating capacity of 1,491 spread over two levels, making it the largest theatre auditorium in the South West after the Bristol Hippodrome.
Tickets for shows at the Princess Theatre, Torquay can be purchased via ATGTICKETS.COM/TORQUAY or at the box office which opens 90 minutes before a performance on a show day.
