About
THIS EVENT IS PART OF THE ENGLISH RIVIERA WALKING FESTIVAL
Follow one of the most beautiful sections of the South West Coast Path along the English Riviera coastline
We begin our adventure from Torquay Harbour, via Paignton Harbour to Broadsands for lunch on the beach. The afternoon section includes Agatha’s favourite swimming beach, Elberry Cove, through Churston Woods to Brixham – home of the pirates and a busy fishing town. We finish the tour at Berry Head – a national Nature Reserve – with its iconic lighthouse, Napoleonic fort and a perfect spot for dolphin watching! This section covers approx 12 miles over terrain which varies from ‘easy’ to ‘fairly strenuous’, but the panoramic sea views throughout the walk will encourage any tiring legs!
- Discover lots of interesting facts and entertaining anecdotes along the route from your two experienced tour guides
- Enjoy gorgeous coastal scenery, encompassing golden and red beaches, with colourful beach huts and a seaside pier
- We might even encounter a steam train on the way, or meet a pirate in Brixham!
- Take a ferry back to Torquay
This walk should only be attempted by experienced and physically fit walkers.
