About
The English Riviera Triathlon offers fast exciting spectator friendly racing in the centre of Torquay. It starts with a sea swim from sheltered Torre Abbey Sands beach. The bike course is a fast & fairly flat 5K closed road bike circuit. This makes it just 4 laps for Sprint competitors or 8 for Standard competitors.
For 2026, the Sprint distance will be a drafting race and all competitors must use road bikes. See our FAQ if you're unclear about drafting races.
The final run is mostly flat on tarmac or pavement with great views of the sea.
Torre Abbey meadows provides ample space for a transition area on grass, a long barriered finish line, podium presentations & a small event village.
