About

THIS EVENT IS PART OF THE ENGLISH RIVIERA WALKING FESTIVAL

Our walk begins on board a steam train!  Leaving Paignton station, we are transported back to a bygone era of travel en route to Kingswear, along Brunel’s famous track, from where we take a short ferry ride to the imposing town of Dartmouth!

Picking up the South West Coast Path, we head towards Dartmouth Castle, past enviable waterside homes and breath-taking views across to Dartmouth Naval College. The route winds its way to Little Dartmouth, hugging the coastline, before arriving in the quaint village of Stoke Fleming and onto Blackpool Sands for lunch, named Britain’s finest beach by Conde Nast Traveller.

Once we’ve rested, the tour heads back to Dartmouth following an alternative route which offers equally magnificent vistas. On our return, guests will receive a short historic tour of Dartmouth, before boarding the ferry and steam train back to Paignton. This is a truly extraordinary walking experience!
