About
Welcome to A Christmas Celebration, where the magic of the festive season comes alive at the Babbacombe Theatre. As family and friends gather to share the joy of Christmas, we invite you to relax, laugh, sing along and immerse yourself in the warmth and wonder of this special time of year.
For four decades, under the direction of Colin Matthews, the Babbacombe Theatre has built a remarkable legacy of producing bold, brilliant and much-loved variety shows. As Colin's milestone 40th year draws to a close, A Christmas Celebration continues that proud tradition, blending festive favourites with exciting new moments in a heartwarming production that perfectly captures the spirit of the season. It's our way of thanking the audiences whose loyal support has made this extraordinary journey possible.
Expect an uplifting blend of festive classics, iconic hits from stage and screen, timeless chart favourites and musical theatre, seamlessly woven together with spectacular dance, side-splitting comedy and breathtaking magic. Welcoming back familiar faces, this year's outstanding cast features audience favourites Andy Oakley, Peter Baffles and Phil Lowen alongside the exceptional talents of Claire Waring and Lucy Samuels, supported by the fabulous Danze Fantazy dancers, whose vibrant routines, under the choreography of Lucy O'Neill and musical direction of Pete Leonard, help create a truly unforgettable festive spectacular.
With inspirational lighting, dazzling costumes and every detail carefully crafted to delight the senses, A Christmas Celebration promises an unforgettable theatre experience. Whether you're a familiar face or visiting us for the first time at Devon's Number 1 Theatre, as rated on TripAdvisor, thank you for joining us. We wish you and your loved ones a wonderful Christmas and hope you enjoy every magical moment of the show.
