Guided Geopark Walking Tour : Rock Solid Coasteering – Adventure Walks
This guided Geopark walking tour follows sections of the South West Coast Path, offering a relaxed but informative way to explore the landscape. Through storytelling, geology and wildlife observation, participants will uncover the layers of history that have shaped this part of the Geopark.
The walk is designed for those who enjoy exploration on foot and want to learn more about the coastline without entering the water.
Location: Maidencombe, Torquay -(Meeting point – TQ14 9SU)
Date & Time: From Saturday 24 May 2026, running daily throughout the festival
Walks typically start at 5:00pm (other times available by arrangement)
Who it’s for: Anyone able to walk approximately 2 miles, including hills and steps
Suitable for adults and families with older children
Geopark Connection: The walk interprets the Geopark through geological formations, smuggling and sailing history, and Neolithic stories, offering a deeper understanding of how people and landscape are closely connected.
