2020 Opening Hours
Update at October 2020 - message from Team 3DW
More information is available on our website but here are the highlights:
We are open every day from 9am to 5pm.
We have a selection of well spaced tables available outside.
We have a selection of bookable tables for up to 6 people indoors (bookings can only be made by calling 01803 311202 - no Facebook messages please).
All tables are thoroughly sanitised before and after each use.
We will have sanitising stations inside and there will be up to 2 people allowed in the toilets at any one time.
We will be asking for some contact details so that we can work with the Test and Trace system in a responsible manner (personal details will be securely stored at all times). If you have the Test and Trace app we have a QR code for you to use.
Our takeaway will still be open most days with queues to go down the promenade as marked.
If, when visiting, you are unsure of anything, please do ask a member of the team.
Should you, any member of your group, or anyone within the households of your group, be feeling unwell or displaying symptoms of COVID-19, please stay at home. If you had a booking with us, please LET US KNOW OF YOUR CANCELLATION.
Throughout these past few months, as you know, the wellbeing of everyone has been our priority. That has not, and will not, change.
Yes, we have some new rules.
Yes, some of them may be mildly inconvenient.
But, 3DW and Oddicombe is a happy and healthy place to be and we intend to ensure it stays that way.
We will work incredibly hard to do the best job we possibly can.
As we all get used to new ways of working and socialising, we really would appreciate your flexibility and co-operation.
Please note - there is NO PARKING on the beach or up the hill. People can be dropped off, if that is necessary, but cars must be taken back up the hill and to the roads or car parks for parking. This is incredibly important. Should there be an incident of any kind on Oddicombe, it is vital that the road down remains clear and that there is access for emergency vehicles at all times.
Please remember to be considerate of all other users of the beach.
It is up to all of us, now, to work together as a team to make Oddicombe a really happy, healthy, safe place to enjoy some fresh air, great scenery and good company (at a distance).
It's simple enough to do so let's make sure we achieve it.
As always, for the most up to date news, please follow our Facebook page.
Thank you very much.
Three Degrees West offers Mediterranean flavour not only in terms of its menu but also its décor and ambience. This amazing venue opened its doors in the spring of 2015 and, for the first time on Oddicombe, provided the opportunity to dine indoors as well as out. The most fantastic location for breakfast, ideal for coffee and cake, lovely for lunches and with plenty of tempting tapas on offer this venue really does have something for everyone. Great food and drink, superb customer service and a view that is second to none.
Three Degrees West is hugely popular with holidaymakers enjoying the safe and family-friendly Oddicombe Beach but it is also a favourite haunt for local people too. Open all year round this gorgeous cafe beside the seaside is the ideal place to meet friends and enjoy coffee and cakes, tasty tapas, a leisurely lunch and plenty of sparkling options from the extensive bar.
Three Degrees West is positioned on the South West Coast Path, making it an ideal stop-off if you're out on the trail.
Oddicombe Beach, and Three Degrees West, is also accessed by the historic Babbacombe Cliff Railway which runs pretty much all year round, closing for a few weeks at the beginning of each year, for maintenance. First opened in 1926 the railway carries around 120,000 people up and down the cliffs each year. With Babbacombe Downs at the top of the cliff and Oddicombe at the bottom, a visit to the area is a must if you're in the English Riviera.
The website, www.oddicombebeach.co.uk has the menu and more details of opening times should you wish to plan ahead. To book an inside table give them a call on 01803 311202. Incredibly popular, particularly during the summer, if you know you want a table at a certain time, booking is highly advisable.
As well as cafe dining there is also a seasonal takeaway serving all those beach essentials that you would expect. Ice cream is always a popular choice with chips, pasties and various other treats on offer.
Oddicombe Beach is nestled at the bottom of the cliffs in Babbacombe and Three Degrees West is the perfect place to while away an hour or two..... or maybe three at the water's edge. On sunny days enjoy drinks and snacks on the terrace then spend winter days behind the floor-to-ceiling glass frontage snugly wave-watching while having a hearty lunch with the fabulous vista of Babbacombe Bay stretching out in front of you.
Three Degrees West really is one of a kind.
