Taking place across the picturesque towns of Brixham, Paignton, and Torquay, England’s Seafood FEAST invites visitors to savour tasting menus at award-winning restaurants, meet the people behind the catch, and enjoy exclusive dining experiences celebrating the region’s fishing heritage and commitment to sustainability. Renowned Chefs Mitch Tonks and Simon Hulstone will appear, with Simon also celebrating the 20th anniversary of his acclaimed restaurant, The Elephant.
Featuring over 38 events, this year’s festival showcases the very best locally landed seafood through chef-led tastings, wine pairings, market tours, and ‘catch and cook’ adventures. With more than 40 species caught at the world-famous Brixham Fish Market - from sweet crab and plump scallops to Dover sole and monkfish - the English Riviera’s coastal waters offer some of the freshest and finest seafood in the world.
This year introduces several innovative events designed to broaden the festival’s appeal and elevate the visitor experience, including two unforgettable experiences at The Cary Arms: Sea & Serenity combines an incredible spa experience with sea-views and exquisite seafood, while Catch & Cook invites guests to fish from the pier before enjoying their freshly prepared catch. There will also be a unique Coastal Art & Seafood evening with Emma Carter Bromfield at the Mercure Hotel. Olive in Brixham is also elevating its famed Luxury Seafood Bottomless Brunch, serving three exquisite small plates featuring local oysters, monkfish, scallops, and sardines, all perfectly paired with unlimited wine from their self-serve Enomatic machine.
Kelly Widley, Seafood FEAST Programme Curator, said: “England’s Seafood FEAST is a celebration that delights all the senses. Our mission is to encourage visitors to explore the rich culinary traditions of our coastal communities while enjoying the freshest British seafood in a lively and enjoyable atmosphere.”
Back by popular demand, this year’s Seafood FEAST will see the return of the exciting ‘Seven Chefs’ experience - a one-of-a-kind culinary adventure showcasing seven chefs and seven eateries in one day, over seven unforgettable hours. Guests will enjoy seven expertly crafted courses, each paired with a local, award-winning beverage, offering a true taste of England’s Seafood Coast. Hosted across a series of standout venues in Torquay and Brixham, this trust-the-chef journey is set to be a highlight of the FEAST - bold and bursting with flavour.
Adding to this vibrant line-up, Torquay’s Offshore Bar & Restaurant offers a distinctive ‘Taste of Agatha’ dining experience inspired by her favourite seaside treats, including lobster and blackberry ice cream, served in the author’s birthplace. Paignton’s Shoreline also invites seafood lovers and their furry friends to Sea Dogs at Shoreline, a dog-friendly beach walk followed by a feast of seafood-inspired treats for pets and a menu of fresh local seafood for owners. The Seabirds and Seafood event at Berry Head Nature Reserve in Brixham combines a guided early morning birdwatching walk with a seafood breakfast at the Guardhouse Café, spotlighting the area’s vibrant marine wildlife and autumn migration.
Carolyn Custerson, Chief Executive Officer of the English Riviera BID Company, commented: “England’s Seafood FEAST is a fantastic way to highlight our world-class seafood and talented local chefs, and also plays an important role in supporting our local economy.
“By attracting visitors outside the peak summer season, the festival helps local businesses stay busy, boosts trade for our restaurants, cafes and hotels, and showcases the English Riviera as a thriving year-round destination.”
Mitch Tonks, acclaimed restaurateur and founder of Rockfish, added: “What makes England’s Seafood FEAST so special is that it connects people directly with the English Riviera’s fishing communities and the amazing produce that comes from our waters. England’s Seafood Coast has some of the finest fish in the world, and it’s not just about eating excellent seafood - it’s about meeting the people who catch it, understanding where it comes from, and celebrating the pride and passion that goes into every dish.”
Simon Hulstone, Michelin-starred chef and owner of The Elephant, said: "The Seafood FEAST is a fantastic way to showcase the skills of our local chefs and the incredible quality of British seafood. As the weather gets warmer, the English Riviera coastline sees an incredible range of new species, giving our guests the chance to try new dishes, and make memories with friends and family while celebrating our coastal heritage."
