We are open from 1st March to 31st October each year and offer an excellent, friendly service and great value accommodation.  We accept families with children over 7 years.

Situated in a quiet and peaceful location, we are just a short, level walk from the town centre (0.7 miles), Paignton Seafront (0.7 miles), Paignton Railway Station and Paignton Bus Station (1 mile). If you are planning to arrive by car or motorbike there is free off-road parking next to the property.

We offer comfortable and spacious guest rooms, consisting of single, twin, double rooms and a family room. For guests who have difficulty using stairs there is one double and one twin room located on the ground floor. However, we are unable to accommodate wheelchairs in the house. Our rooms have en-suite shower or bathroom facilities, fridge, TV with Freeview channels, radio, tea and coffee provisions and free, exceptionally fast Wi-Fi.

There is a varied breakfast menu with freshly cooked, made-to-order dishes. Evening meals are available on request and we can cater for vegetarians and special dietary requirements with prior notice. All food is prepared and cooked by the owners and we pride ourselves on the quality of the food that we serve. Guests have access to a comfortable, south-facing lounge providing a relaxed, home from home environment.

The Vue, a multiplex cinema on Paignton sea front (0.6 miles) and Palace Theatre in the town centre (1 mile) provide plenty of evening entertainment for all the family and are just a short walk from Clydesdale Guest House. There are many things to do in Paignton for all ages including Paignton Harbour (0.8 miles) for crabbing and fishing trips; Paignton Pier (0.5 miles); Pirates Bay Adventure Golf (0.7 miles); and countless amusement arcades, popular bars, restaurants, beach shops and waterfront kiosks for ice-creams and other seaside treats.  Why not go for a day out on the Dartmouth Steam train, which leaves from Paignton station (1 mile) and travels along the English Riviera coast towards Agatha Christie’s holiday home at Greenway House (5.1 miles), beside the River Dart and arriving at the hillside town of Kingswear (8 miles). Paignton Zoo (2 miles) and Splashdown Quaywest water park (1 mile) are close by or you could always take a short bus ride to the neighbouring town of Torquay (3 miles) to visit Living Coasts aquarium and coastal zoo (3.2 miles), Kents Cavern (4 miles), and Babbacombe Model Village (4.3 miles).

Keen walkers and ramblers will enjoy discovering the famous South West Coast Path and the 22 miles of the English Riviera which forms part of the UNESCO Global Geopark, one of only 7 geoparks in the UK and 140 in the whole world!  Take a trip to Goodrington Beach (2.6 miles) and you’ll find Reach Outdoors who provide kayak and paddleboard hire, coasteering, canoeing in the caves and other exciting escorted adventures on the sea.

Paignton is an ideal base to explore the English Riviera and Devon. We hope to make you feel at home from the moment you arrive.
