About
THIS EVENT IS PART OF THE AGATHA CHRISTIE FESTIVAL
Our first 1920s Costumed Promenade at last year's Festival proved so popular that we repeated it for our Spring Gathering in April. It is now becoming a 'must do' event as part of the whole Agatha Christie Festival experience.
Kick off the final day of the Agatha Christie Festival in true golden-age style! Step into your finest 1920s attire - flapper dresses, feathered fascinators, bowler hats, or dust off the most dashing detective get-up you can muster. From Poirot's impeccable moustache to Miss Marple's keen eye, every sleuth and socialite is welcome!
We'll set off from the brand-new Agatha Christie Sculpture on The Strand, wander past the famous Christie bust, and promenade along the scenic Agatha Christie Trail to Princess Pier --- a flat, leisurely half-mile perfect for soaking up the seaside air.
For those continuing the adventure, the stroll to Torre Abbey for the Festival's closing day is just over a mile, with charming cafés and restaurants tempting you along the way.
Entry is free, but please get a ticket, so we have an idea of numbers and can steward the event safely. Registration will open a couple of weeks before the Festival.
Information
The Fete Worse Than Death event at Torre Abbey begins at 11am and continues until 3pm.
Responding to feedback from last year's walk, some of you will have large bags or suitcases with you. Please do indicate if this is the case for you and we will arrange transport of large bags from the Agatha Christie statue to Torre Abbey for you.
