Most of our attractions host family orientated events during half term, craft workshops, cooking courses, or treasure hunts for the kids to enjoy. Dont forget to check out the theatres too as there are often kid friendly shows or performances available.

Attractions and Activities for Kids During February Half Term

Babbacombe Model Village is an award winning outdoor attraction in Babbacombe, Torquay. Set within four acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, see thousands of miniature buildings including the iconic Stonehonge landmark, pocket-sized characters and vehicles, along with animated countryside scenes and touches of English humour.

AMF Bowling is an indoor ten pin bowling centre with 21 state of the art bowling lanes and designated VIP lanes. There’s an American-style diner serving delicious and affordable fast food treats including shakes, hot dogs, fries, soft and alcoholic drinks. Try a game of Quasar or have a go on the amusement machines for some fun and friendly competition.

There’s fitness and fun for all the family at Torbay Leisure Centre, close to Goodrington Sands in Paignton. There are indoor and outdoor facilities including a 25m swimming pool for public swimming as well as a trainer pool, a cycling velopark and squash courts. A soft play area with colourful toys and fun activities will keep the little ones occupied.

Super Sleuthing at The Escape Room at The Real Crime Museum. Enjoy an hour’s fun as you work as a team to solve a series of thrilling, challenging and fun clues. Crack the code to find your way out of the Detective Office, a family friendly, authentic Private Investigators office located on Torquay harbourside. Suitable for 8 years and above, with a minimum of 2 and maximum of 8 players.

TLH Leisure Resort offer fun for all the family during half term. Head to the Aztec Games complex for 10 pin bowling, pool, soft play, arcade games and more. Or come along for Dip ‘n’ Dine for a swim in the 25 metre pool followed by dining in Aztec Bistro.

There’s swashbuckling fun aboard The Golden Hind, a full-sized replica of Sir Francis Drake’s historic ship moored in Brixham harbour. Meet Pablo the Friendly Pirate Mascot, walk the plank and open decks or try your hand at rope tying, hauling or steering the ship’s wheel.

Outdoor Activities for February Half Term

Explore the outdoors with the Naturally Inspiring landscapes at Berry Head Nature Reserve and Cockington Country Park which provide plenty of wide-open space to roam, stunning settings with amazing wildlife and an all-year-round appeal for all ages. Or discover countryside walks at Greenway for adventures for parents or grandparents with children. Explore the beautiful gardens at Greenway, once the holiday home of famous crime writer, Agatha Christie.
