About
Weatherbys Intermediate Chase Day at Newton Abbot Racecourse
Enjoy a big Saturday afternoon at Newton Abbot Racecourse on Saturday 17 October, with an exciting day of jump racing, great food, live entertainment and plenty of atmosphere.
The Weatherbys Intermediate Chase Day is one of the biggest dates in Newton Abbot Racecourse's calendar, bringing competitive National Hunt racing and the chance to experience the thrill of watching the horses thunder past the winning post.
As part of the racecourse's Meet An Equine Hero programme, visitors will also have the chance to meet retired racehorse Black Corton and discover more about life after racing. It's a fantastic opportunity to get up close to a former racehorse and hear more about their journey beyond the track.
There's plenty to enjoy away from the racing too, including a special £8 pasty and a pint offer, while the Party In The Paddock continues after racing with live music from Bootlegger's Turn.
Whether you're a racing fan, looking for a different day out in Devon or simply want to enjoy an afternoon of live sport, food and entertainment, Newton Abbot Racecourse has something for everyone.
Gates open: 11.05am
First race: 1.05pm
Last race: 4.43pm
Tickets are available in advance, with Course and Paddock admission options available.
