UPDATE: November 2020: Occombe Farm is being redeveloped to create a brand new Farm Visitor Attraction. Please do check our website before visiting whilst work progresses. You can find out more about this redevelopment on our website: https://www.countryside-trust.org.uk/occombe-farm-plans/>
Occombe Farm is a working organic farm in Paignton, South Devon, that is open to the public. Wander around the farm and gardens and explore our fantastic 2km nature trail, bustling with wildlife and with beautiful views of the surrounding woodland. There are sometimes animals to visit including cows and sheep and seasonally there are calves and lambs too. All waiting for you to say hello! In the winter you can see our cows in the barns, in the summer they are out grazing on the fields. From the bird hide you can watch the birds visiting the feeders. In the breeding season (to end of May) you can watch live footage inside the nest boxes as parents care for their chicks.
Our newly refurbished Occombe Farm Cafe serves a wide range of delicious home cooked food made using locally sourced ingredients where ever possible. Choose from delicious breakfasts or extensive lunchtime dishes, including our new specialist salad bar. There are lots of sweet treats and snacks, and a mix of hot and cold drinks too. Open everyday (9am-4pm, with last hot food orders at 3pm!)
The farm is open every day from 9am until 5pm, and also hosts a full programme of chargeable events including cookery classes, meet the animals sessions and fun packed quiz trails for the whole family. Visit the website or Facebook page to find out what’s on.
Occombe Farm is cared for by local conservation charity Torbay Coast & Countryside Trust. All profits from the café and events directly fund the upkeep of some of the English Riviera’s most beautiful spaces, including Berry Head National Nature Reserve and Cockington Country Park.
