About Us

This idyllic village is hidden in a deep valley just one mile from the bustle of Torquay. Cockington is easily accessible from the seafront by bus or car. Visitors find themselves transported to a magical land, so peaceful you can almost hear a pin drop. Narrow winding lanes open out onto beautiful chocolate box cottages, old English gardens and thatched gift shops offering Devonshire Cream Teas and locally produced crafts.
The picturesque village of Cockington has been described as "the prettiest village in England". Its thatched cottages and chocolate-box landscape transport you back in time to a slower pace of life, and what better way to immerse yourself in this halycon era than by arriving in a horse-drawn carriage!

Cockington Court is set in 460 acres of pretty country park, so there's plenty to do on this great day out for all the family.
