A fantastic place to come and eat during a trip to Paignton! Food served from 7am until 11pm every day! Open until midnight every night. Can take bookings for parties or events.
These licensed premises are an amalgamation of several properties. The larger buildings at the back are Victorian villas, built when Torbay Road was laid out in the 1890s. The two villas were later joined together. After World War II, their front gardens were replaced by shops. In the mid 1990s, the properties were combined and reopened as the Talk of the Town, which retained its name when it became a Wetherspoon in 2010.
Our pubs have been supporting micro-breweries of real ale since we opened the doors of our first pub in 1979, working with local brewers up and down the country to put local beers on the pumps.
Wetherspoon’s pubs are synonymous with real ale – and the resulting awards and recognition received are testament to the company’s passion for serving a great pint.
Our staff are committed to serving customers the perfect pint of real ale – and, with almost 50 million pints poured annually, that is no mean feat. It takes a lot of training, effort and dedication to keep real ale in top condition – and our staff are the best in the business. And you don’t have to take just our word for it.
