Man Fridays lobster house is a family owned business established 30 years. We are registered with the marine management organisation so are able to source our catch from the local Torquay fishing fleet. This enabled us to offer the freshest fish and shellfish guaranteeing sustainable quality.
We do not serve up fish by weight or shellfish by the gram.
Local divers and daily boat anglers supply our seabass scallop and crab.
Our wines are purchased from local vineyards inc Sharpham Dart Valley , Lyme Bay Winery & The Old Walls at Teignmouth. We endeavour to source our produce locally where possible.
Our Steak is sourced from Churston farm.
Our home baked garlic bread Is baked fresh every morning on the premises and served after order.

Customer Reviews:
We prebooked this restaurant for a Saturday night visit as recommend by staff at our accommodation provider. Easy to reach as parking is just nearby, use Beacon Quay Car park. The entrance is the little alley between Cavern on the Quay and the Lighthouse, in the upstairs of the Cavern with lovely views of the harbour. When we called to book and mentioned that we bring our two children we were asked about their ages, our children were lucky old enough to make the cut (10yrs+). We started the menu with some Oysters followed by the Seafood platter. The Platter was enormous, so make sure you are hungry! Oddly, all food was served with salad covered in a creamy dressing (maybe a signature thing?).
Fantastic meal and friendly service, just a shame I was in a rush and could only enjoy 1 course. Next time I am in Torquay I will be back for a proper meal.
Really good food, bigger portions than we were expecting. Nice view and great service, would definitely go back if in the area
