Beautiful landscaped gardens and elegant decor make the TLH Toorak Hotel a ‘country house by the sea’. This graceful 3 star hotel is part of the TLH Leisure Resort hotel group, and is situated in the heart of Torquay on the beautiful English Riviera.

Toorak is an Aboriginal word meaning “The swamps where the tea tree grows.” Luckily the Toorak is built on sturdier ground! It was the third hotel to join the TLH group back in 1986 when the Murrell family took it over. Now it’s is renowned as one of the most friendly hotels in Torquay, with excellent food, outstanding leisure facilities and nightly entertainment.

The Toorak Hotel is only a 5 minute walk to Torquay’s seafront and a 2 minute walk to Torre Abbey Gardens, a stunning location known for its wealth of exotic plants.

With 92 traditionally designed bedrooms spread across 3 floors, most of which have both lift and stairs access, all the rooms at the Toorak were built with comfort in mind. They each have a private bathroom, flat screen TV, hairdryer, tea coffee making facilities, free Wi-Fi throughout and free on-site parking is also included. Plus the premium, south facing terrace rooms boast exclusive access to a sun terrace and loungers with views over the award winning gardens.

Regular winners of the Bay Blooms Awards, the gardens at the TLH Toorak are the perfect location to relax or stroll through the fabulous array of flowers. You can even enjoy a game of tennis on our private tennis court. With several comfortable lounges throughout the complex, the Toorak provides a peaceful atmosphere to enjoy some tranquillity and quiet time.

The TLH Toorak Hotel's stylish and contemporary restaurant is well-known for its delicious food. As a member of ‘Taste of the West’, the hotel serves organic and locally sourced produce. You can enjoy buffet-style breakfasts, including full English or continental choices. In the evenings, you can look forward to tempting table d'hôte meals and additional a la carte options are available.

The Conway Bar is also open daily for lunchtime snacks and sandwiches. With its relaxing and sunny patio, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a quiet drink and sample a Devonshire cream tea. It’s also the ideal venue for evening drinks and a cocktail or two!

Leisure facilities include the luxury Aztec Spa for true pampering and sheer indulgence, the Aztec Gym which provides the perfect environment for working out,  an outdoor pool and 2 indoor pools (the stunning 25 metre pool is the largest indoor pool in Torquay), as well as a sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi.  Aztec Games is the games area with 2000 square foot of wall-to-wall fun. You’ll find indoor archery, 4 lanes of 10 pin bowling, table tennis, snooker, pool, arcade games and lots more.

There’s also a daily activity programme offers a fantastic range of events and activities for both adults and children. The Starlight Lounge hosts vibrant evening entertainment, with a mix of cabaret and live acts from both the in house entertainment team and some of the South West’s leading cabaret artists.
