About Us

Orestone Manor is a welcome respite for people from all walks of life who appreciate quality and comfort. It is beautifully run, unpretentious with a relaxing informal ambiance.

The theme is classic modern, individually designed bedrooms. There's fresh fruit, homemade biscuits, tea/coffee making, Molton Brown toiletries and soft bathrobes.

Views from both the conservatory and terrace extend beyond the landscaped gardens to the sea. This combined with the Colonial atmosphere of a wide veranda, Lloyd Loom cane furiture makes you want to sit back, enjoy fine foos and totally switch off.

The Restaurant, open to non residents serves contemporary English food, using local produce and seasonal vegetables from the hotel garden. It has a strong local following.

The public rooms are well appointed and during the colder months a fire burns in the lounge's impressive fireplace.

The hotel, once the former home of John Calcot-Horsley, the renowned artist who designed the first Christmas card and brother in law to the Great engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel, makes a particularly romantic wedding venue for Civil Ceremonies and celebrations.
