Accommodation in Brixham with breath taking sea views

Waking up to a spectacular sea view is one of those lasting holiday memories that will stay with you forever. Brixham dangles above the sea, with pretty houses clinging to the hillside. This means that many of its self-catering apartments, cottages and Holiday flats enjoy fantastic views of the sea or harbour. If boats are your thing, the Harbour Lights apartments are located beside the lifeboat station and Marina. Or head a couple of minutes up the hill to Harbour View Brixham. This three-story house has excellent views from both the lounge and first floor double bedroom to the breakwater and Torquay beyond.

Self-catering Apartments in Brixham for foodies

If you love seafood, you’ll love Brixham. This working fishing port lands a daily catch, which ends up on some of the most expensive tables across the UK. Fortunately, much of this prized haul also stays right in Brixham, so you can be sure to experience the freshest fish with your humble chips. Sample seafood at its best in the many speciality restaurants in the town, such as Rockfish and Beamer’s. Or head to the fishmongers to discover the catch of the day and prepare to get cooking it yourself in your self-catering home. The large, nine-bedroom Ranscombe House is perfect for family gatherings. In the garden there’s a BBQ for sizzling up your seafood or use the gas range cooker in the large, well equipped kitchen.

Step back in time when you step into your holiday home

Just around the headland from Brixham, before you get to Kingswear and Dartmouth, you’ll find Coleton Fishacre. And if you travel a little further, up the River Dart, you come to Greenway House, the former home of Agatha Christie. Both are now open to the public thanks to the National Trust. But did you know that you can stay on the estates? South Lodge at Greenway is the former head gardener’s home and enjoys a super view of the river. And there’s a choice of National Trust holiday homes to rent near to Coleton Fishacre with views over rolling farmland. Alternatively, try Jenny Wren Holiday bungalows. With a peaceful location on the edge of the village of Galmpton, they’re close to Greenway House and neatly located between two steam railway stations that can take you to Paignton or Dartmouth.

Family Friendly Accommodation in Brixham

Your little ones will love the swashbuckling tales of pirates (and you’ll probably spot a few during your stay in Brixham too). There are lots of family friendly places to stay in Brixham, including South Bay Holiday Park. Here the heated indoor and outdoor pool has a flume for the thrill seekers. And there’s a toddler pool for the youngest members of the family to enjoy. An onsite crazy golf course and adventure playground will also keep them busy, while you relax with a drink on the sunbathing deck.

There’s something for everyone when you stay self-catering in Brixham. Check availability, book online, and get ready to make some new happy memories.
