About
For many years Claire and Gerard (Ged) dreamt of owning their own guest house and spent a few years looking for the right location and the right property. The day they came to Paignton South Devon and walked into The Beaches B & B they knew that this beautiful property in such a fantastic location was “the one!”
Both gifted in hospitality with years of experience hosting overseas students offering them a home from home experience. Claire was brought up in a guest house environment which her parents owned and ran for many years and her sister ran a very successful luxury bed & breakfast so the world of hospitality is evidently in her genes. Prior to this new chapter in their lives Ged ran a home-based retail business and Claire worked for the NHS as a mental health nurse.
In their free time they both enjoy visiting the local attractions that the area of Torbay and the English Riviera have to offer, taking in shows at the local theatres, walking along the sandy beaches admiring the stunning coastline of South Devon and dining out at the many eateries.
Ged finds history, music and languages interesting. Claire loves cooking and baking and enjoys reading.
