About
Earlston House is small but with a big reputation for good home cooked food, comfortable beds and a warm and friendly atmosphere. It is ideally situated to walk or cycle to Paignton harbour, Goodrington, Preston and Paignton beaches.
The property occupies an elevated position in a quiet residential area of Paignton, with easy access to the town centre, Paignton Railway Station and Paignton Bus Station. For guests arriving by car we have free parking onsite and there is also plenty of unrestricted street parking on St Andrew’s Road and some surrounding areas.
From Earlston House you can easily access many award-winning visitor attractions including Paignton Pier (0.9 miles); Splashdown Quaywest, an adventure water park in Goodrington (0.8 miles); Paignton Zoo (1.4 miles); The Golden Hind Museum Ship and Berry Head National Nature Reserve in Brixham (5.6 miles).
Earlston House Hotel is the perfect accommodation for visiting the English Riviera in all seasons. We have a fully licensed bar for guests to relax and enjoy a drink as well as a spacious and stylish dining room where traditional and varied home cooked foods are served each morning.
Established for many years, Earlston House has 8 comfortable en-suite bedrooms including a range of single, double, twin and child-friendly, family rooms for up to 4 people available. All our rooms are pleasantly decorated with complimentary tea and coffee making facilities, TV and hair dryers. Some of our rooms have picture-postcard sea views across Tor Bay.
We aim to be recognised as the UK’s first Autism friendly hotel and continue to develop our understanding of autism to support customers and their families. Please let us know well in advance of your stay so that we can ensure exactly the right environment for a relaxing holiday.
The English Riviera is a dog-friendly resort and at Earlston House, we love dogs and have our own, Dexter, who is a black Labrador. We believe that your dog should be with you on holiday as part of your family break and we welcome well-behaved four-legged friends. Guests are welcome to take their dogs into our lounge and bar area. We encourage visitors to use the blankets in the room to cover the beds, chairs and sofas to keep the area clean and to use the towel provided to wipe paws when you have been out exploring. We reserve the right to make a charge to cover cleaning costs incurred during your dog’s stay. For guests who want to leave the dog in the room for an hour or two, subject to time available, we may even take him/her for walkies. Goodrington Beach (North Sands) is a dog-friendly beach throughout the year and is only a 10-minute walk away.
We are proud to be an environmentally friendly accommodation that recycles our waste, uses enzyme-based and vegan cleaning products. We serve locally sourced South West food and drink produce whenever possible with our eggs coming from the Devon/Somerset border, sausages and bacon supplied by Churston Farm Shop of Paignton. In our fully-stocked bar we serve a range of alcoholic drinks including ale, cider and lager from Bays Brewery, a Paignton-based business.
At our family-run bed and breakfast we offer great value deals for mid-week and week-long stays. We also offer groups including stag and hen parties the chance to book the whole property for the entire weekend, with sole use of the bar area, which we will keep open to accommodate your plans and late breakfasts at a time to suit your group.
Earlston House is the ideal base for your break on the English Riviera. We look forward to welcoming you.
