This totally traffic-free venue is the perfect way for anyone to start in the sport of triathlon, with a pool based swim, followed by a Velopark ride on smooth, flat tarmac and a flat parkland run.
The swim, in the 25m pool is followed by between one and 13 laps on the super-smooth tarmac of the Velopark. The race finishes with a one or two lap run (depending on your category) on a fast parkland course. The run course exactly 2.5K per lap and the Sprint bike course is 19.K
The Torbay Triathlons are Award Winning events and also picked up a prestigious Racecheck Gold Award in 2025. Our Spring Triathlons are also qualifying events for the British Triathlon South West Junior Race Series. Children aged 9-16 who want to qualify for the South West Junior Race Series should enter the Tristar 1, 2 or 3 events or for youth competitors, the Supersprint distance.
And on Saturday afternoon we have our team relay races. For 2026 we’re hosting both a Mixed Relay Triathlon, where each person in a team of four does a full mini triathlon and a Standard Relay Triathlon, where each team of two or three takes on one or two of the three triathlon disciplines.
