About
South West in Bloom is one of sixteen regional competitions that make up RHS Britain in Bloom, which is the biggest horticultural campaign in Europe. The aim of the community groups that take part each year is to improve and regenerate our local environments and neighbourhoods. This can be through the imaginative planting of trees, shrubs, flowers and landscaping, conservation and recycling projects, and to sweep away the eyesores that blight our streets, such as litter, graffiti and vandalism.
Congratulations and many thanks to everyone involved with South West in Bloom for an outstanding contribution towards maintaining and improving the environment, floral features and the lives in communities throughout the region.
It’s Your Neighbourhood entries continue at a good number, and there are many examples of where all your efforts have had a real impact in your local area.
The future is bright, though localism, food production and climate change concerns are areas for us all to address.

The Riviera International Centre is only 6 miles from the A380 dual carriageway and the M5 motorway, a fast and direct link to London and the Midlands.From the Penn Inn roundabout at Newton Abbot follow the brown signs to the Riviera Centre.From within the English Riviera head towards Torquay seafront and then access to Chestnut Avenue can be found off of Rathmore Road (look for the Grand Hotel) or Belgrave Road (look for the Premier Inn Belgrave Hotel).
