Visit the English Riviera in Spring, and you will see this beautiful coastline in a whole new light. Whether is a spring weekend getaway, or a family easter holiday, spring is the perfect time of year to visit and experience Paignton, Torquay and Brixham as they burst into life.
Things to Do this Spring
Family Friendly Activities
Get the kids back outdoors – as the weather improves, the kids will love to be back on the beach or running through the parks. Many of our family friendly attractions are open over spring and the Easter Holidays so the kids can run off some energy, or enjoy a local Easter Egg Hunt.
South Devon Gardens, Parks and Coastal Walks
Our unique micro-climate in the English Riviera means springtime comes earlier than in other parts of the country. Whilst your garden at home may still be sleeping, ours are coming into full bloom with a wonderful show of spring flowers. A great way to enjoy the spring sunshine (and encourage the children to get a little exercise to work off all that chocolate!) is to take a pleasant walk along Roundham Head in Paignton. At the top of the cliff there’s a beautiful parkland with spectacular views and a charming Spitfire Garden. Nearby Goodrington’s Youngs Park is a natural habitat for swans, geese and wild birds and is perfect for children of all ages plus the family dog.
