About
Remembrance Parade and Service
This year’s Remembrance Parade and Service will be taking place on Sunday 9th November.
The Parade will commence at Kings Quay / Southern Quay at approximately 10.40am. The Service will commence on Berry Head Road at 10.58am. After the service, the parade will march to Fore Street for the salute.
Hard copies of the Order of Service will be available on the day, and digital copies are available here Service Sheet
Advanced Warning – Road Closure
Berry Head Road (between Breakwater car park entrance and mini roundabout) will be closed between 10am and 12pm for the Parade and Service.
Wreaths Laid at Sea
If anyone has wreaths they wish to be laid at sea, please leave them in front of the Lifeboat Station. The Fishermen’s Mission Area Officer will be conducting the service at sea on the lifeboat after the service at Berry Head Memorial.
We kindly ask that any floral tributes offered be free of plastic wrapping, ribbons, or non-biodegradable materials. If possible, please consider using biodegradable materials, such as natural twine or compostable wrapping, or simply offering the flowers as they are. Your understanding and cooperation are greatly appreciated, thank you.
We remember the Armed Forces, and their families, from Britain and the Commonwealth, the vital role played by the emergency services and those that have lost their lives as a result of conflict or terrorism.
