About
Brixham to Come Together for Remembrance Parade
On Sunday 8th November, 2026, Brixham will once again come together with a Remembrance Parade and Service, offering a time for reflection, gratitude, and collective remembrance.
Residents, visitors, and local organisations are invited to pause alongside the parade as it moves through the town, before gathering for the Service at the Memorial on Berry Head Road. The occasion provides an opportunity for the community to honour those who have served and sacrificed, and to stand together in quiet respect.
Following the service, the parade will continue through the town, concluding with the traditional salute on Fore Street.
As part of the commemorations, wreaths may also be laid at sea in tribute to those connected to Brixham’s strong maritime heritage. This act of remembrance remains a poignant part of the day for many local families and seafaring communities.
Temporary road closures will be in place during the morning to ensure the safety of all participants and spectators.
Remembrance Parade & Service – Brixham 2026
Join us as the community comes together to pause, reflect, and honour those who have given their lives in service. This is a moment for us all to stand in quiet gratitude, remember their sacrifice, and pay our respects.
The parade will form at Kings Quay / Southern Quay, setting off at approximately 10.40am, before arriving at Berry Head Road for the Service at 10.58am. Following the service, the parade will continue to Fore Street for the salute.
Hard copies of the Order of Service will be available on the day, with digital versions also accessible via the Town Council website in advance.
Road Closure Notice
Berry Head Road (between the Breakwater car park entrance and the mini roundabout) will be closed from 10am to 12pm to allow the parade and service to take place safely.
Wreaths Laid at Sea
For those wishing to honour loved ones at sea, wreaths may be placed in front of the Lifeboat Station. Following the main service, a short service will take place on the water, led by the Fishermen’s Mission Area Officer.
Floral Tributes
To help protect our coastal environment, we kindly ask that any floral tributes are free from plastic wrapping, ribbons, or non-biodegradable materials. Where possible, please use natural or compostable alternatives, or lay flowers as they are.
