There's always something going on in the English Riviera. Check out our list of upcoming events below!

English Riviera Walking Festival

Pack your rucksacks, fill your flasks, dig out your walking boots and join us at the inaugural English Riviera Walking Festival between Saturday 15th to Saturday 22nd October, 2022. Whether you’re a regular hiker, or an infrequent stroller, this new family and dog friendly festival will appeal to walkers of all abilities who enjoy exploring the Great Outdoors. Designed and hosted by an enthusiastic team of professional local guides and enthusiastic volunteers we have created an eclectic selection of half day and full day guided walks, set within the Naturally Inspiring English Riviera including: Torquay, Babbacombe, Paignton and Brixham.

Sailing Regattas

Come watch a sailing regatta in Torquay, one of England's top locations for sailing. The Bay is home to several Regattas during the summer months, including the Torbay Sailing Regatta in May, the Dart Vale and Totnes Mariners’ Regatta in June, and the Brixham Yacht Club Summer Regatta in August. If you're really feeling it, you can even enter your own boat! No matter your skill level or experience, there's a regatta for you.

Torquay United F.C.

Whether it's for the match-day atmosphere or the chance to see a future football star, Torquay United is a treat for any sports fan. They play in the National League at their home ground Plainmoor. Torquay United Football Club's history goes back to 1910. Follow their progress through League 2 or come to watch a match at Plainmoor Stadium in Torquay. Their mascot is Gulliver the Gull!

Torbay Half Marathon

Join thousands of fellow runners as they take on this breathtaking race along the stunning English Riviera coastline. The scenic route takes in stunning coastal views across Torbay, including the historic Torre Abbey and the Princess Gardens.

Yoga in the Caves

Join in a truly unique underground experience at Kents Cavern. Allow yourself to completely relax with no distractions, and just the gentle drip of water as background noise. As you drift off into your meditation, immerse yourself as your eyes follow the flow of the cave walls.

English Riviera Airshow

The naturally inspiring sky of the English Riviera is ready to host the Bays flagship event. From Friday 29 May to Sunday 31 May 2026, the skies above the Bay’s stunning natural amphitheatre will once again come alive with some of the world’s finest aviation displays. The airshow is completely free (although car parking passes can be purchased) and there are some great clifftop vantage sites across the Bay, as well as Paignton Green itself. If you are staying in Torquay, we would recommend perching up on Daddyhole Plain, while both Beacon Quay, Meadfoot Beach and Thatcher Point are also very popular.

Brixham Pirate Festival

The annual Brixham Pirate Festival, with a crew made up of first-time brigands and buccaneers, held in Brixham, Devon takes place over the Early May Bank Holiday weekend, is a swashbuckling mix of seaside shenanigans and pirate-themed fun for all the family.
