THIS EVENT IS PART OF THE ENGLISH RIVIERA WALKING FESTIVAL
Clennon Lakes are the most important wetland site on the English Riviera and home to many species found nowhere else in this area.
During this walk you’ll hear the wonderful Dusk Chorus – a bit like a Dawn Chorus but without having to get up at 5am! Thanks to the dedicated work of the Friends of Clennon Lakes, the land has turned into a natural paradise. Along its tranquil paths you will find an array of song birds plus swans, ducks, moorhens and herons. In 2023/24 the Lakes were awarded the Green flag.
Wander through the lakes as the sun sets listening to the birds singing.
Mike Langman, your Tour Guide and one of the UK’s leading Ornithologists, will be on hand to name the birds by their sounds!
Bring your binoculars to watch the birds, both on and off the lakes.
Some ‘gangly’ moorhen chicks should be out of their nests.
