About
The Bay of Lights Illumination Trail returns, bringing a sparkle of seasonal spirit to the English Riviera.
At the heart of the Bay of Lights programme is the free and fully accessible Illumination Trail which will run every evening from 28 November 2026 to 3 January 2027. The trail returns bigger than ever, featuring 19 major illuminated features and 11 additional displays across Torquay's waterfront, creating a glittering coastal experience for residents and visitors.
Delivered in partnership with Torbay Council and the English Riviera BID Company, Bay of Lights is now in its fifth year and has become one of the South West's most popular free festive attractions.
Torquay: The Illumination Trail runs daily from 4:30pm, with sound elements until 9:30pm and lighting displays until 11pm.
Paignton & Brixham: Both towns will also feature magnificent 8-metre-high pixel Christmas Trees, offering stunning digital light shows from 4:30pm–11pm.
