About
THIS EVENT IS PART OF THE ENGLISH RIVIERA WALKING FESTIVAL
Awaken your senses and build a deeper connection with nature
This is a slow, gentle and deliberate meditative stroll along a beautiful stretch of the coastline. The aim of this walk is to become as present in the moment as possible, using mindfulness and sensory exercises to become increasingly aware and connect with everything around us. Whilst not a ‘silent walk’, you are encouraged to keep conversation relevant to our experiences and observations in the moment.
Lyndon, your guide, will at points play a gentle musical instrument called a handpan and use a device called a PlantWave in order to listen to the internal biorhythms of plants en route.
There will also be a chance to learn the art of rock balancing on the beach.
This tour offers an opportunity to really step out of the hustle and bustle of daily life for a short time and to notice and connect at a deeper level everything that is going on around you, becoming aware of things that you may never have noticed before.
- Tune into the calming rhythm of the sea
- Develop a stronger sensory awareness
- Reconnect with the elements – sand underfoot and wind on the skin
- Enhance your curiosity as the walk encourages noticing small, meaningful details
