About
"Western Lady" have been operating a fine ferry service between Brixham and Torquay for over 70 years.
The 30 minute ferry ride across the Bay to Brixham and returning to Torquay is a stress-free delightful way to view Torbay from the sea, especially when the sun is shining!
Under the proud umbrella of Dartmouth Steam Railway & River Boat Company you can be assured of receiving the best service at the best price for your ferry across The Bay.
Look out for our cream and blue boats Western Lady VI and Western Lady VII. We look after our valued passengers with many returning to us every year.
Fares and timetables...The purpose built Western Lady VI and Western Lady VII are approx. 60 ft in length with a 20 ft beam and although half the size of our old Fairmile's they can actually accommodate the same number of passengers as the old boats: 170 plus.
Daily service - weather depending.
TORQUAY - We embark from HALDON PIER and disembark at NORTH PIER (beside the bridge over the harbour).
Book with the "girls in red" at any of our ticket offices.

BRIXHAM - We embark and disembark from New Pier (the quay with the toilet block and viewing platform).
