About
Opening Soon
Cockington Visitor Centre was opened in 2016 celebrating the history of the wonderful village of Cockington, much of which remains today. It was built in the refurbished Linhay in the ancient farmyard surrounded by other farm buildings; a mill, granary and farmhouse. This venture was funded by a contribution from the National Lottery and the local Green Heart Appeal. The charity that owned it, Torbay Coast & Countryside Trust, went into administration in October 2025. The owners of Weavers Cottage Tea Garden, Lindsey & Gordon England puchased the building and will be reopening it as a Visitor Centre and Ice Cream Parlour.
Once the purchase is completed (due 8 April 2026) the Visitor Centre will re-open 7 days a week and run by a wonderful group of volunteers.
Opening times will be 9:30am to 4:30pm
