About
Cockington Visitor Centre opened in 2016, celebrating the rich history of the beautiful village of Cockington, much of which can still be seen today.
The centre is housed in the refurbished Linhay, set within Cockington’s historic farmyard alongside the former mill, granary and farmhouse. The project was made possible through funding from the National Lottery and the local Green Heart Appeal.
Following the closure of the charity that previously owned the building, The Linhay was purchased by Lindsey and Gordon England, owners of Weavers Cottage Tea Garden. They have reopened the building as the Cockington Visitor Centre and Ice Cream Parlour, continuing its role as a place for visitors to discover and enjoy this special village.
Open 7 days a week and run by a wonderful group of volunteers.
Opening times - 9:30am to 4:30pm
