Angels Tea Room, Babbacombe Downs, Torquay

This delightful tea room in the heart of Babbacombe promises a little taste of heaven with a range of delicious afternoon tea options on the menu including Sparkling or Strawberry Cider Cream Teas with a quarter bottle of Prosecco or scrumptious Strawberry Cider. Try the hot cinnamon toast, mouth-watering freshly made slices of cakes and scones with local jams and Devonshire cream, served in fine bone china.  The delightful garden courtyard offers far reaching views across Lyme Bay towards Portland Bill.

Burridge’s Café and Tea Rooms, Torquay

Perfectly situated on the stunning harbourside in Torquay, Burridge’s is a great choice for sampling some of Devon’s finest produce served in elegant surroundings. Try a mini cream tea, or the scrumptious homemade Victoria Sponge and some quality loose-leaf tea with the sun streaming through the windows.

Torre Abbey Tea Rooms, Torquay

Situated within the splendid grounds of the multi award-winning Torre Abbey Museum, the tearoom has a cosy, rustic atmosphere; delicious sweet and savoury treats and fantastic coastal and sea views. This is a dog friendly venue and there is also plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the Mediterranean style climate.

Weavers Cottage Tea Shoppe, Cockington

Step inside an authentic 18th century cottage and sun kissed walled courtyard garden, deep in the heart of the historic village of Cockington.  This hidden gem is surrounded by beautiful woodland scenery, open parkland, ornamental lakes and delightful thatched roofed buildings.   Try the High Tea or Cream Tea deal served in quintessentially English picture-perfect surroundings.

The Palace Hotel, Paignton

Enjoy a leisurely afternoon in the elegant surroundings of the Palace Hotel, once the home of Singer Sewing Machine inventor, Isaac Merritt Singer.  The hotel has a delightfully bright and spacious, colonial style sun lounge, a perfect spot for an afternoon tea treat with friends or family. Afternoon tea is served daily from 2pm to 5pm and there’s plenty to choose including The Palace Afternoon Tea with the traditional sandwich selection, Cream Tea or Sparkling Afternoon Tea with a glass of Prosecco.   

The Venus Cafe Broadsands, Paignton

An idyllic spot to savour the cosy atmosphere, stunning waterfront views and with the added bonus of a charming steam train regularly rolling past.  On the waters’ edge at Broadsands Beach, the recently refurbished bistro serves authentic Devon Cream Tea.

Liberty Tea Parlour and Cocktail Bar, Brixham

A popular, fashionable tea parlour and coffee lounge in a fantastic waterfront location in Brixham.  Open daily, Liberty’s offers delicious sweet and savoury treats and traditional loose-leaf tea.
