About Us

Our small independent bed and breakfast in Torquay caters solely for adults only. We offer a choice of quality double, twin or super kingsize bedded rooms within an historic Victorian home. The Redholme enjoys an elevated position in a quiet side road on one of Torquay's seven hills, while still being within a short gentle downward sloped walk to Torquay Harbour.

It goes without saying that being in an elevated position we are uphill, this gives our first floor front guest rooms views of the sea, but we do not claim to be seafront! We offer you excellent accommodation with a choice of spacious en suite rooms inclusive of continental or fully cooked breakfast. We have tables for every guest in our breakfast room and we do not allocate sitting times or require any pre-ordering the night before!

You may worry that we are not star rated. We strongly feel that it is a better indication of our standards when we are highly reviewed "every day after every stay" by our guests, and not just once a year by an anticipated inspection.

We have private off street parking for all rooms which is free of charge. Park it and leave it! We are so close to the harbour with its bars, shops and restaurants, you won't need the car until home time!

We are also motorbike friendly and offer secure level parking by the front door at the side of the house.

Our freshwater washdown area for divers and boaters is also fully open. This area is also suitable to dry wet weather gear if you are biking or walking.

We look forward to welcoming you to our seaside home.

Directions

Road Directions

To get to The Redholme B&B by road IGNORE YOUR SATNAV!! Once you enter Torquay just follow signs to Seafront. Turn left when you see the sea and drive along the palm tree lined boulevard passing the restaurants and Princess Theatre. Head towards the harbour which appears on your right hand side, and turn left at the Clock Tower Roundabout. After 2 or 3 minutes you will pass Torquay Museum and Braddons Hill Rd East is the next road on the left hand side. The Redholme B&B will be the 5th property on your right hand side.

SATNAV tends to lead you to us via the "locals" cut through which will leave you very confused. You won't even see the sea!!

Public Transport Directions

The Redholme B&B is walkable from Torquay Train Station, but if you have suitcases we would recommend using a taxi. We are only a 5-6 minute cab ride away. Please contact us directly for local taxi information. Torquay Coach Station is set away from the sea front and is definately a taxi ride away due to Torquay's elevated and undulating terrain!.
