At Carlton Court we offer our guests the highest standards of bed and breakfast quality and style. We are small but perfectly formed, and there is always a warm welcome waiting for you.  

We are situated in a quiet location just a 10-minute walk from the seafront and Torre Abbey Sands, an award-winning beach. Public transport including Torquay and Torre Railway stations and the coach station are just a short taxi ride away for visitors arriving by train or coach. We have ample free on-site parking available for all our guests, as well as nearby on street parking.

Our boutique guest house has a selection of superior and deluxe bedrooms as well as luxury guest suites, decorated to a high standard with King-size and Super King-size beds. All our guest bedrooms are decorated to a very high standard, have en-suite shower facilities with fridge, daily fresh milk, bath robes, slippers, LCD digital TV, a hairdryer and complimentary toiletries. Our ground floor double and first floor deluxe room have a bath. For your comfort the rooms are serviced daily during your stay. Guests have the use of free Wi-Fi, available throughout the building.

Carlton Court offers a luxury home from home. We have a sunny breakfast room with views of the enchanting, lush ‘lost’ garden, a tropical retreat with a wonderful array of plants and flowers, creating an oasis of calm to relax and unwind.  We also have a small honesty bar should you wish to partake in a drink or two after yur day exploring.

Carlton Court is the perfect base to explore the English Riviera and South Devon.  There are 22 miles of glorious coastline, forming part of the South West Coast Path and there’s plenty of local entertainment close by including Princess Theatre, Riviera International Conference Centre with leisure facilities, 9-hole pitch and putt golf course, and a variety of water sports including paddle boarding, kayaking and sailing. Torquay town centre is within easy walking distance with a range of high street and independent shops, family-run cafes, cinema and The Princess Theatre. For night time entertainment  the harbourside offers a wide selection of bistros, fine-dining restaurants, wine bars and nightclubs.

Torquay is the birthplace of Agatha Christie, the world’s most famous female crime writer and there are many places with connections to her life and work.  Torquay Museum is home to the country’s only dedicated Agatha Christie gallery (1.5 miles) and the ‘Agatha Christie Mile’ is a must for fans. The one-mile self-guided walking trail celebrates the area’s connection to the ‘Queen of Crime’ and leads you to 12 places of interest and seven plaques to find along the way.

The area is also known as England’s Seafood Coast, home to the UK’s finest seafood and world-famous Brixham Fish Market, where over £40 million worth of fish is landed and sold at auction each year. Early morning tours are available.
