8 Torwood Gables offers all year-round self-catering accommodation in a great, hillside location. This 3-bedroomed limestone-built property has plenty of character and history associated with it. The building opened as a school for the local children in 1842 and many of the original features have been retained including the gothic exterior and windows. The interior has been beautifully renovated and has a light and airy feel with contemporary furniture, fitted carpets, wooden flooring and a stylish décor applied throughout.

There’s onsite parking which means that you can unload your holiday belongings from the car with ease and settle in quickly. With easy access to local public transport and plenty of bus stops close by and just a few minutes’ walk to Torquay harbourside and the town centre, leaving the car behind and exploring the area on foot is a great option.

Torwood Street, 0.2 miles away has a great supply of restaurants, takeaways and cafes serving world cuisine dishes to suit all tastes and budgets including Biancos Restaurant and Amici Restaurant for Italian, Maha Bharat, Curry Lounge and Simla Spice for Asian food.

The master bedroom and a second bedroom are located on the first floor, and a third bedroom is on the top floor. All guest rooms have double beds and linen is available, free of charge. The property can accommodate up to 6 people. Modern appliances and fittings have been added for your convenience including washing and ironing facilities, a hairdryer, TV and DVD player with some children’s films provided for added entertainment.

A visit to this top seaside location isn’t complete without a day out exploring the 22 miles of stunning coastline and 20 local beaches, with 10 of those having received the prestigious Blue Flag and Seaside Awards for their cleanliness and water quality. Meadfoot beach is 0.6 miles, Anstey’s Cove 1.7 miles and Torre Abbey Sands 0.9 miles.
