The English Riviera is a great place for a fantastic night out.

As you'd expect from one of the most popular holiday destinations in the UK, there's a terrific selection of traditional and modern pubs, wine, cocktail and champagne bars, dance, cabaret and night clubs, whether you are here for a night, a weekend break or a longer getaway. Many of our venues now have an impressive gin menu and serve food. The English Riviera has a great local music scene and a growing number of talented local artists. The English Riviera really knows how to party and over the last couple of years the nightlife offering has grown to include some amazing al fresco sea front and harbourside venues that host great music and events throughout the year, here at the seaside in South Devon.

We are delighted that Torquay, well known for its lively and fun night scene has been shortlisted once again as one of the country’s Best Bar None destinations with Hen and Stag parties most welcome. Best Bar None is a national award scheme supported by the Home Office that rewards excellence, raises standards and helps everyone involved in providing a great night out by working professionally together.

Torquay, situated at the heart of the English Riviera has always been famous for its fun night scene and offers a growing selection of quality pubs, bars and clubs serving local beers, ales and ciders as well as the big global brands.

We are delighted that Best Bar None is expanding across the English Riviera and many pubs, bars and clubs are now accredited in Paignton and Brixham, highlighting the high standards across the resort.

Every year there are national Best Bar None awards and Torquay was proud to receive a Highly Commended Award, when judged against 75 other Best Bar None schemes across the country.
