About Us

Welcome to No. 7 Fish Bistro

Since 1993 the Stacey Family have been running this Bistro style restaurant providing the best fresh fish and shellfish from Brixham.

We are 5 minutes from the town centre and there is ample parking opposite. We look forward to welcoming you to No 7 Fish Bistro.

This small family-run bistro just up from the harbour is awash with the fruits of the sea. Cream walls are decorated with fishy plaques, prints and posters, while tables, with attractive navy and cream thick plastics covers, are set on polished-wood floors. It's all very homely, unpretentious and honest, just like the cooking. Fish and shellfish from local boats and markets are simply roasted or grilled, with timing accurately judged; Brixham plaice, Star Point crab, lobster from local pots, Dover sole.

We are 5 minutes from the town centre and there is ample parking opposite.

We look forward to welcoming you to No 7 Fish Bistro:

Wine@7 on the first floor offers panoramic views of Torbay and is open from 5pm till late.

We have a range of over 95 wines, sparkling and champagne available by the glass, showcasing amazing producers from around the world as well as wine flights and speciality gins.

Local oysters are available along with snacks, perfect to go with some English sparkling or our range of vintage champagnes.

Wine@7 is ideal for a leisurely drink if you are around the harbour and perfect for pre dinner wine.

We are a must visit for all wine lovers!

Customer Reviews:

When a restaurant chooses to concentrate on one type of food they had better do it well, and at bistro number 7 they do fish brilliantly.
We have been lucky enough to eat at two of Rick Stien's restaurants and, in our opinion, this was better.
The mussels, scallop and King prawn dish and the squid in garlic starter were both delicious, each served with a weighty piece of garlic bread. For main course I had the pan fried cod with prawn and scallop tempura, the milky white cod was perfectly cooked and contrasted well with the crisp tempura batter on the shellfish. That was accompanied by a selection of vegetables, which included golden beetroot, brave and delicious, and baked new potatoes in garlic and herbs, making a very substantial amount, but we managed to polish it off and then dive into a hot apple crumble with 'lashings' of custard.
Confident and professional service added up to a truly memorable evening.

If you only go to one restaurant in Torquay make sure it’s number 7. The food was fantastic, we had the king prawn scallops and mussels in garlic to start. Followed by the 3 fish dish , service was excellent , staff friendly .Would highly recommend.

This was our first visit to the Number 7 and hopefully not our last! My wife had the broth to start and I had muscles, prawn and scallop in garlic and they were both brilliant with generous portions. We both had fish in tempura as a main and the fish was brilliantly cooked with very well made tempura batter which melted in the mouth. To finish I had a Sundae and my wife had apple crumble and custard and neither of us can fault any of it. A must try for any fish lovers and very reasonably priced! Staff were brilliant as well!
