Palace Theatre in the heart of Paignton is the area’s oldest working theatre with an all-year round programme of shows including the annual summer run of an Agatha Christie production. A Day Out at Torre Abbey Museum and Gardens

There are three distinct museums across the Bay including Torre Abbey Museum, an 800-year old museum of history, art and performance housed in an ancient scheduled monument.  The medieval monastery has beautifully presented heritage rooms, galleries and an extensive art collection.

The award-winning gardens contain a wealth of exotic plants, roses and dahlias, an Agatha Christie themed Potent Plants section and glass houses with tropical and sub-tropical plants and a collection of cacti and succulents.  The gardens are a beautiful setting to enjoy a picnic, so if the weather is fine, take a hamper filled with delicious local Devon produce to share.
