About
Tower Hall offers you a unique experience to enjoy a holiday in Torquay on the English Riviera in a relaxed, peaceful environment. This four star, Grade 2 listed Victorian Villa enjoys beautiful views across the bay and promenade in one of the most attractive and peaceful areas of Torquay. It is a great place for a romantic getaway or somewhere to bring the family.
We have views towards the sea and harbour or across the valley to Babbacombe, and Tower Hall is approximately five minutes walk from Torre Abbey Sands, a sandy beach ideal for swimming. There is easy access from the A380 and car parking is available in the grounds. Torquay railway station is just a three minute walk away and Exeter Airport is approximately 45 minutes by road.
All of Tower Hall's ten bedrooms are comfortable, bright and spacious. They are equipped with colour TV, clock radio, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities and a small fridge. Most are fully ensuite and all rooms have central heating for early and late season guests. Ground floor bedrooms are available, and some rooms on the first floor have panoramic views across Torbay to Torquay harbour. Ironing facilities are available if required.
Guests have the use of a private television lounge and a small second lounge which faces east and is ideally placed to catch the morning sun. We also have a residents bar, with views of the sea and harbour, and pets are welcome at no extra charge.
We are especially renowned for our hearty breakfasts which are reputed to set you up for the day. A traditional English breakfast is always served, together with a choice of cereals and toast. Continental breakfasts are also available on request.
The Tower that gives the hotel its name houses two bedrooms with especially magnificent views and is itself a landmark from many points along the promenade.
There are many local places of interest in close proximity to us including Babbacombe Model Village, Kents Cavern prehistoric caves and historic Cockington Village. A little further afield is Dartmoor National Park with its wonderful rugged scenery. The nearby town of Paignton has its famous steam railway with trips to Dartmouth via a passenger ferry. We are ideally situated for touring the whole of South Devon or indeed the whole of the West Country.
